Cylinder Engraving
IPC&L
is one of the few printers in the nation to have complete in-house cylinder
engraving capabilities.
Gravure printing utilizes chrome plated
copper cylinders that have been engraved with the printing image. Quality
printing begins with precision cylinders, and we have made significant
investments to ensure our cylinder production is state of the art.
Our process can utilize anything from board
art to customers' digital files. Initial art is converted to a finely-detailed
digital file for engraving. This digital file is used by one of our two
cylinder engraving machines, which cut the pattern into the copper printing
cylinders.
